Aeschbach WW2 Pattern Automatic Military Watch

This classic automatic Aeschbach military watch is inspired by the timepieces supplied to the German Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe during the Second World War. Featuring a traditional subsidiary seconds dial and period-correct styling, it closely follows the appearance of the watches produced by Aeschbach during the 1940s.

While original examples have become increasingly rare and highly sought after by collectors, this model faithfully recreates the distinctive design of the factory's wartime watches. Externally, it remains remarkably true to the original specification, retaining the traditional acrylic crystal and classic military dial layout. Internally, however, it benefits from a number of discreet modern improvements designed to enhance reliability and everyday practicality.

The original 15-jewel hand-wound movement has been replaced with a modern 21-jewel self-winding automatic movement, providing the convenience of automatic winding while also allowing manual winding when required. The result is a watch that preserves the character and appearance of its wartime predecessor while offering the performance expected from a contemporary mechanical timepiece.

During WW2, military watches supplied to the Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine, and Luftwaffe were manufactured by a large number of Swiss and German companies, including Aeschbach, a firm founded in 1923 that remains in existence today. This model features a solid 316L stainless steel case, hacking automatic movement, black dial, subsidiary seconds display, and luminous hands and markers for excellent legibility in low-light conditions.
